Dear Velvet,

You have already done a reading for me. In that time, I made the decision of asking my husband for divorce. I did, but although it seemed to be the right path, I felt torn with guilty feelings, and I was afraid about my future, so I postponed the decision of leaving several times, and eventually I put it off, but I'm not sure if I'm not leaving at any moment. I'm so confused!

I think all this mess is part of a bigger mess, and I have to look inside and see what's failing.  I cant manage the money properly, cant stop eating... I need to lose weight, because I am very overweight, which is very bad for my thyroid disease, but I cant even plan the meals for the day. I don't know how to put it in words, its something like I feel I have to do something for myself, and I want to start with my health and my money matters. So, I ask for guidance in those areas.
My question:  What do I need to know to take control of my life, especially regarding health and money.

Dear Pepona,

The Justice card asks you to distinguish between desire and need.  Justice carries the scales and sword of integrity, but in her heart, she is attempting to understand what is behind the conflict so she can meet the needs on both sides.  The two-edged sword symbolizes the precision needed to make clear judgments, and in order to do so, Justice reminds you to be careful to attend to important details.  You don't want to overlook or minimize anything where this card is concerned.

Pepona, although you indicate that you want to first take control of your health and money concerns, Justice tells us that there is something that must first be faced before you can finally feel comfortable in tackling the health and money issues you mentioned.  I do think your marriage is calling for your attention first and foremost at this time.  It seems that perhaps you hold some kind of guilt inside for some reason, and trying to look at the truth about an issue makes it hard to stay in the marriage, but equally hard to leave, too!  You need to face whatever it is that makes you feel this way.  Confronting this fear or guilt within is only fair to yourself and your partner.  It seems there are important issues that need to be resolved.  Let yourself face them, even if it does seem difficult, because this is being fair to yourself.

These issues that need your attention may well be the cause of the eating disorder you spoke of.  Things are not in balance for you emotionally or physically . . . but this card tells you that your life can be in order and balanced once again!  In order to take control of your life, Pepona, the card of Justice says to be fair to yourself in all matters -- and this will require your complete honesty!  What do you need most in life right now?  Your needs and desires may be quite different, so it's imperative that you know the difference between what you need and what you want.  Determine what changes need to be made.  Your happiness depends on your ability to take responsibility for your decisions.  The law of Karma is represented in the Justice card, meaning "what goes around, comes around."  Thus, if you continually fail to take care of yourself and your needs, Pepona, the situation can only get worse :-(  I know this is not something you desire!  But if you decide to take care of an important decision in your life, you may soon feel that a burden is lifted from your shoulders -- which will allow you to concentrate more on your health and money issues . . . and creating good Karma for yourself :-)
