Dear Velvet,
Hi Velvet , thank you very much. I am very glad I won a 1 card reading for the Netherlands.
My compliments for your site by the way.
My question is about a situation with a male friend ( born on 26 Febr. 1962 ).
We are just friends, he and I.  Not romantically involved.  But I am very attracted to him, and I can feel he is attracted to me too.  Though we never talked about this to each other.  I would like to tell him about my feelings for him, but I don't have enough courage to do so.  Lately I have not seen him much, I do not know why.
It is like he is withdrawing himself from me.  How will I know what his feelings are about our friendship / relationship?  What is going on in his mind?

Dear Confused,

The card of Exhaustion, or Nine of Fire, can indicate that your friend has a great deal on his mind and/or his agenda at this time.  It seems that his feelings are somewhat guarded about a relationship -- not necessarily about you, but just in general.  The high numeric value of this card (a Nine) suggests that he may have been hurt in the past and now assumes a protective stance to avoid having it happen again.

This card can represent a lot of nervous energy that surrounds the situation, and I'm sure you are feeling that.  This is probably why you have been afraid to tell him how you feel, and it seems you are right to hold off on telling him for now.  Trying to open up to him at this time can create an imbalance between your expectations and fulfillment.

Additionally, it does seem better to wait and see how things develop in time, because this man seems to be at a time of reconsidering strategies about things in his life -- and that would include relationships as well.  He may think he is doing this simply to avoid getting hurt, but the manner in which he is proceeding can also help him to avoid exhausting his ability to appreciate results when he finally does achieve them . . . and when he's ready for it.  I would say he is working through things in his own mind right now -- thoughts and feelings that can seem so chaotic, but for which he is fully able to deal with in his own time frame.
