Dear Alison,

The Six of Cups indicates that an in-person meeting with John will be one that will always hold a special place in your heart, no matter how the friendship develops through time.  Even though there may be other people present, since this is so much a part of John's life to be surrounded by people, it looks like you and he will get the chance for at least a few private, uninterrupted moments together!  I get the feeling that this meeting could come through a luncheon, dinner, or some kind of fund raising event in which you are a part of in some way . . . or that you have an invitation for.  It could possibly be an outside event, or if inside, there may be some kind of outside walking area with a garden -- as similarly depicted by the card image itself.  I do suspect that this will come up in warmer weather rather than right now at the cold season.

The Six of Cups does also suggest that John might extend a personal invitation for you in regard to a future function that he'll be attending.  To be included is a wonderful feeling.  It certainly seems that the development of a friendship is not out of the question for you and John!  Because as you often say, friendships is the basis for everything!  Alison, you couldn't be more correct on that idea!  You have hit upon the idea perfectly, because friendship is what starts anything else that will come, if it's meant to be.

The in-person meeting is shown by the Six of Cups to be one of tremendous sentimental contentment -- something made very special by John's presence.  It will feel like a blessing to you.  There is a great sense of harmony, enjoyment, and overall satisfaction in this card's energy.  And this card represents moments shared with another person who is special to you.  And so, it seems that you will get your wish in one way or another . . . and even a chance for at least a few private moments of conversation without feeling like you are surrounded by the whole world.

Overall, it looks like this will be a pleasant and treasured experience when you and John meet in person.
