I find myself thinking about love and romance more and more lately.  I want to be in a relationship that's based on love,respect and friendship so my question is:  Am I close to meeting that special someone?

Dear Raluca,

A call comes forth from the card of Judgment, and for matters of the heart, this would indicate that a situation may suddenly change your thoughts, feeling, and plans -- but in a positive way.  For those who have been single and uncommitted, the changes that Judgment brings might not leave a person single for much longer!  So it seems that you are getting closer to meeting someone special -- especially since you would like to share with someone who would be a worthwhile companion to you.  A significant opportunity could come up that presents such an opportunity for you.

In the meantime though, Raluca, it's a time to sum things up regarding past relationships that didn't work so that you can reach fair conclusions about the lessons you were meant to learn.  This is not a process that is meant for you to rehash old, ugly, or difficult experiences that you would rather just forget -- but it's a process that can help you see why things didn't work out . . . such as if you were drawn to partners that weren't good for you, if there was unequitable give and take in the relationship, etc.  Make sure that you have reached closure on any past relationships!  That is kind of a "prerequisite" with the card of Judgement.  You need to have closure so that the new doors of opportunity can indeed open for you!

The conclusions you reach during this time of assessment can help you to understand what will or won't work in a future relationship.  Judgement represents a time of endings and new beginnings.  This is why closure for the past is vital for you to be able to hear the call of Judgement's trumpet for a new relationship experience!  The doors to the past should be reviewed for any valuable lessons you can take with you, and then you close that door to the past.  That puts you in a healthy position to live in the present and meet new people.

You are looking for a relationship of mutual benefit -- not one in which you do all the giving and someone else does all the taking.  Those kinds of relationships usually don't go anywhere for very long.  So make sure that your judgements will be fair to both yourself and others as you consider the possibilities of a new relationship to come to you in the near future.  You can have a new relationship in a relatively short time if you choose not to settle for less than you deserve.  Judge potential partners by what you know now about yourself and your needs -- not by what you used to want or what you thought you wanted in the past.

Additionally, don't mistake the call of Judgement to necessarily mean that it will be the first man you meet next.  You need to get to know someone before you make that determination as to whether he'll be the right man for you or not.  Don't partner with someone only because you are lonely and want to be in a relationship.  First, you have to fairly and objectively judge that he seems sincere and has the potential to be someone that you can share happiness with.

If you follow these guides of Judgement, Raluca . . . you can be on your way to that special someone for a relationship that is based on love, respect, and friendship -- all very important components to a great relationship!  So it sounds like you know what you want, and if so, you'll be less inclined to get caught up in situation where you partner just to get away from being lonely.  That would never be a good reason to partner in a relationship.  You need the very things you are asking for -- love, respect, and friendship!
