7-Card Explanation Reading

1 - Situation:  Represents the current situation.  It may describe you, an important factor in the environment you can use or may have to deal with, or a relevant point in your issue.  It will often describe the REAL issue you need to keep in mind.

2 - Details:  Represents a very important detail in the environment.  It may describe an additional factor you are having to work on or deal with, a possible complication or added dimension to the issue you are considering, something from the background that is having an influence, an important element that supports or strongly affects the existence of the current situation.

3 - Thoughts:  Describes the mental energy that is affecting the situation.  It may point to an attitude that is either helpful or hindering the matter, an underlying fear or desire that is having a powerful effect, a state of mind that creates the reality and environment of the issue in question.

4 - Assets:  Describes you "assets" in the situation -- something you consciously bring to the situation, something you know and are aware of, something you can access or use, something that is out in the open, something you can directly see or easily discover.  It may or may not be something "positive" -- but it IS something you can easily change into a benefit, because it is in plain sight and available to you.

5 - Liabilities:  Describes your "liabilities" in the situation -- something you're NOT adequately aware of, something you don't know, a personal shortcoming, something hidden or not easily seen or accessed, something unconscious, something you may not understand, something you may not realize is happening, something you're not using to your best advantage, something that is subtly influencing your situation, something not adequately taken into account.  It may or not be something "negative" -- but it IS something you are not seeing or understanding properly, something not being used to your benefit -- or possibly some problem you need to confront.

6 - Development:  Describes the immediate future.  Represents what the current situation is becoming or what it is leading into.  It may contain either a warning of potential problems you need to consider or confront, or an assurance of benefits that you are hoping for.

7 - Result:  Describes the outcome, the distant future.  Represents the conclusion toward which the situation is presently moving.  It describes the most likely attitude, circumstances, or events that will derive from what is unfolding.  As a description of the possible future, it is also a somewhat flexible state or condition, a conclusion which can either be encouraged with proper care and diligence, or changed through different choices and decisions.  It is the end of the matter as it currently stands -- and yet, it is also the possibility most easily influenced by the exercise of free will -- either yours or someone else's.
