If you are interested in knowing more about the "Light Tarot Readings" by email which I am offering on a trial basis until the end of 2007, this page will address the questions that I anticipate to come up frequently. However, if you have a question about the basic email reading service that is not addressed here, please send me your question and I will respond to you personally.
I strongly encourage anyone who is considering one of these email readings to first read this page, because the basic email reading service here is very different from the richly detailed and Illustrated Tarot Readings that I prepare on a password-protected webpage.
The Light Tarot Readings are designed for when you just need a simple answer or some brief insight into a question that you have. They do not replace a comprehensive reading that includes additional details, advice, or other information that I intuitively access. The Light Readings get right to the point to provide you with your answer.
At the end of the year, I
will evaluate whether this service is of value to the majority or not.
At that point, I will either expand upon this offering, or I will take
it down, depending on my assessment.

QUESTION: Are your regular, detailed, and illustrated readings still going to be offered?
ANSWER: ABSOLUTELY! Those readings are still the heart and soul of my business!
QUESTION: Do you still shuffle the cards and do the basic Tarot readings by hand, or is this computer-generated?
ANSWER: I still personally shuffle the cards and do these readings by hand. No computer generation is used. I do not care for computer generated Tarot and will never offer that to my clients.
QUESTION: Can I choose which Tarot Deck I would like for my Light Tarot Reading?
ANSWER: No, I will be using a traditional Rider-Waite version of Tarot cards for all of the basic email readings.
QUESTION: Will the images of the cards from my Light Tarot Reading be posted in my email reading?
ANSWER: No, with this basic email service (or Light Tarot Reading), I will not insert the card images into the email. However, I will note the name of the cards that come up in your reading.
QUESTION: If I can't afford a detailed, illustrated reading, but I have a really complex question that I need help with, can I order a Light Tarot Reading and still get the same information as I would receive from a comprehensive reading that you also do?
ANSWER: The Light Readings are intended to be simple, basic, and straight to the point. So although you'll still get the same bottom line answer in a Light Reading, you will have a lot fewer details without the additional information and advice that I include in a comprehensive reading. If your question is complex, I recommend that you consider a detailed Tarot Reading instead.
QUESTION: How long is a Light Tarot Reading compared to your detailed, Illustrated Readings?
ANSWER: My regular, illustrated readings which are richly detailed and informative average between three and six detailed paragraphs per card (sometimes longer). The Light Tarot Readings will consist of one or two short paragraphs per card to take you to the bottom line of what you need to know in answering your question.
QUESTION: Can I ask follow-up questions after receiving a Light Tarot Reading?
ANSWER: Since the Light Tarot Reading service is designed to be basic and right to the point, I will not address follow-up questions as I do in the one-email exchange policy I have with the illustrated, comprehensive readings. However, I will answer your question that you bring to the cards in a clear and concise manner.
QUESTION: What is the pricing structure of the Light Tarot Readings in comparison to your detailed readings?
ANSWER: The Light Tarot Readings are priced at $6 per card. The comprehensive, illustrated reading service is priced at $10 per card. So there is a difference, because the comprehensive, illustrated readings naturally take me much longer to prepare for you.
QUESTION: Can timing be asked with questions like you do with your regular, detailed readings?
ANSWER: Yes, timing questions are also welcome in the Light Readings at no additional cost. I pull an extra card for purposes of timing.
QUESTION: What are some of the other differences between a Light Tarot Reading and a Regular, Comprehensive Tarot Reading?
ANSWER: Aside from the differences pointed out on this F.A.Q. page, the Light Readings are quicker to do, and therefore they are less expensive than a full, comprehensive reading. With a comprehensive, illustrated reading, I will also include any additional information and details that I access from my intuitive responses. Thus, sometimes questions not asked in a regular reading are also answered in the comprehensive reading service. With the Light Tarot Readings, however, our goal is to get your questions answered directly and to the point. It's a reading designed for when you don't want or need the extra details and information that a comprehensive reading would provide. For some people, that is sufficient. For others, it's not going to be the kind of reading they want (especially for those who are already used to my regular, illustrated readings).
The Light Readings are done by email rather than set up on a password protected webpage as I do the illustrated readings.
QUESTION: Are Light Tarot Readings by email eligible for the Tarot Reading Referral Program like you have for your Illustrated Readings?
ANSWER: Yes, they are also eligible for the Tarot Reading Referral Program. If your referral purchases a Light Tarot Reading, then your free two-card gift will also be a Light Tarot Reading. If your referral purchase a detailed, illustrated reading, then that is the type of reading you would receive for your free two-card gift. IN SUMMARY:
The Basic Email Reading service (or Light Tarot Reading) will not be right for everyone. If you are trying to decide whether this is the kind of reading you want, please carefully consider the following. The price for a "Light" Tarot Reading is naturally lower than a richly detailed and illustrated reading will be . . . but is this the right reading for you and the questions on your mind?
A "Light Tarot Reading" by Email may be right for you if . . .
A "Light Tarot Reading" by Email probably will NOT be right for you if . . .Your question is simple and not complex. You don't want or need a lot of detail in your reading. You are looking for just a quick answer or brief insight into your concerns. You have no preference which card deck I use for the reading. You are not interested in seeing the card images with your Tarot reading. You don't wish to ask any follow-up questions after your reading.
A Basic Email Reading can be useful to you -- and less expensive -- if the first set of criteria apply to you. Please consider carefully what you want and need from a reading. With a Light Tarot Reading, your answer will be rendered in one or two short paragraphs per card (my traditional illustrated readings always contain three to six and sometimes more detailed paragraphs per card).You are seeking insight into a complicated or complex concern. You need as much detail, advice, and insight as you can obtain. You want to choose the deck that I use for the reading. You want to see the life-sized card images in your reading. You want to ask follow-up questions after your reading.
