Deck by Rosemary Ellen

I recommend this deck for anyone who is interested in Angels and for those who collect decks. The Major Arcana are beautifully illustrated with angels, with the exception of the Virgin Mary who is in place of the traditional Empress. The Minor Arcana (pip cards Ace through 10), although still pretty, simply include angel-winged images shaped into Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades.
The cards are stiff and tend to stick together, which is something I was disappointed with at first. The "stickiness" will fade, however, as you use the cards more and more . . . as I have found from experience with my own set of Angel cards. They do get easier to handle after repeated use through time.
Since I am a collector of Angels, I like this deck a lot. Even though critics have a lot to say about it otherwise, I think it's a beautiful deck. The Minor Arcana are not so detailed as are the Major Arcana, but still, it's a lovely deck which I enjoy using . . . and some of my clients especially like this deck as well. I wouldn't recommend this deck for a beginner to the Tarot, but for those with experience, it can be a calming and enjoyable deck to use . . . especially if you like Angels the way I do ;-)
This deck comes with a book written by Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Robert Michael Place. It's a beneficial book for use with this set of cards. Some of the things discussed in the book are:
Chapter 1: The Mystery of the Tarot -- provides a history of the Tarot and some background on its use.
Chapter 2: The Realm of Angels -- discusses Angels
Chapter 3: The Rainbow Bridge to Higher Consciousness-- further discussion of Angels
Chapter 4: How to Work with the Tarot -- contains some reading advice and information about Tarot Spreads
Chapter 5: The Major Arcana -- discusses the Major Arcana; Information is given for the angel on each card, followed by an interpretation.
Chapter 6: The Minor Arcana -- discusses the Minor Arcana; A brief section on numerology and the meanings of the suit is followed by one-sentence interpretations for each card. (This is somewhat disappointing as the Minor Arcana are being short-changed of information.)
