~*~This is a very feminine deck, suitable for any question you have for the Tarot.  It's especially nice for relationship readings or questions for women.  Although it was created with women in mind . . . I certainly wouldn't exclude guys if they wanted to have a reading done with this deck.  For a guy, probably the most popular question with this deck for him would be something in regards to his significant other.~*~

The Goddess Tarot is a beautiful work of art by Kris Waldherr who has used soft, but attractive coloring in the card images.  Each card is framed in an art-styled border.  This is a deck that is appealing to women in particular, and also to those who have an interest in exploring goddess imagery.  It's even a favorite among Tarot deck collectors.

The intention of the author in creating the art and design of this deck was "to create a tarot deck that would speak directly to women using our stories, while incorporating the archetypal power and symbols of the tarot."  The author goes on to say, "In this way The Goddess Tarot is meant as an accessible alternative deck for tarot readers already familiar with the popular Rider-Waite deck who seek a deeper experience of the Divine Feminine in their readings."  In creating her deck, Kris Waldherr also had in mind those who enjoy the subjects of goddesses and mythology.

Each Major Arcana card is related to a goddess and her story as the card's theme.  Each of these cards symbolizes an important aspect of life's journey.  According to the author, "When these cards come up in a Tarot reading, they can represent recurrent themes or major changes in the situation being examined."

I very much enjoy using this deck.  All of the artwork in itself seems to tell a story, and that's a big help in card interpretation.
