This deck is suitable for any question you wish to ask of the Tarot, and is especially nice for those of us who are still "kids at heart" and like Halloween fun ;-) It's also a nice deck to use if you read for children . . . or are doing a reading pertaining to your kids.

TRICK-OR-TREAT!

This is a fun deck, especially around Halloween time. The main color themes are done in black and orange in the tradition of Halloween. According to the author of this deck, "The Halloween Tarot deck started with the traditional images of the Rider-Waite deck, designed by A. E. Waite in 1910, and then was twisted, turned, and tweaked to create a festive, if slightly freakish, old-time Halloween world." The characters in the cards are based on old horror movies and circus images . . . and you'll find a black cat somewhere on each card. You'll also find plenty of vampires, skeletons, bats, ghosts, and jack-o-lanterns within this deck. And as you can see from the image above . . . Frankenstein is quite a unique and interesting Emperor. :-)

The Major Arcana of this deck have retained their traditional names. The Minor Arcana suits have all been renamed to fit the Halloween theme of the deck. Cups are Ghosts, Wands are Imps, Swords are Bats, and Pentacles are Pumpkins.

This deck can be purchased as a Deck & Book set. The Halloween Tarot by Karin Lee describes the cards in much more detail than the little white book that accompanies the card pack. Chapter 1 discusses the history of Halloween; chapter 2 talks about Halloween symbols and traditions, and Chapter 3 goes into the cards further with upright and reversed meanings.
