Baseball Tarot
Although not a traditional Tarot deck, the Baseball Tarot is one that is very intuitive and "down-to-earth."  This is one that will find an appeal for just about anyone, whether a baseball fan or not.  No scary images and no nudity are found in any of the cards, making it appropriate for readings for any age.  The theme of this deck does an excellent job in applying Tarot concepts to real life -- in a way that anyone can grasp and comprehend.  This is a deck that is both highly useful and fun!

From the back of the accompanying book:  "Are you batting a thousand or in a slump?  Has your boss thrown you a curve or caught you off balance?  Baseball actions have become metaphors for life, and BASEBALL TAROT applies these metaphors as a means of finding insight into love, work, relationships, dreams, decisions, dilemmas, and virtually any other personal issue.  Expertly translated from traditional tarot, it is an entertaining and accessible way to seek guidance and advice through familiar baseball situations, players, and lingo.  From The All-Star to The Umpire, from Error to Grand Slam, each card image evokes the card's original meanings.  The book explains how to pose questions, lay out cards, and interpret answers for yourself and for others.  It's insightful and inspiring.  Now, step up to plate!" --Deck by Mark Lerner & Laura Philips

Celestial Tarot
A fascinating deck, rich in detail, that incorporates astrology, planets, constellations, and mythology  in the imagery.

From the title card: "Embedded in our night sky are archetypal images, symbols, and stories that have enchanted the human soul for aeons.  Onto this sky sanctuary the ancients projected their imagination using star-patterns to animate their myths and immortalize their deities and heroes.  Celestial Tarot fuses the myths, symbols, and astronomy of the planets, signs, constellations, and fixed stars with astrological divination to reveal the mysteries of the Tarot in an engaging and unique way.  Celestial Tarot is both a handbook of the heavens and an oracular guide to the inner life."

Cosmic Tarot
This is a beautiful deck, which captivates through it's mystery and symbolism.  Yet working with this deck is not a mystery.  In fact, the images reveal truths that even a non-Tarot reader can easily see for himself in so many of the cards and the faces that look back at you.  This deck maintains a lot of traditional imagery, but also introduces some interesting and lovely touches in terms of symbolism.  For those who love old movies, there is yet another appeal with this deck, as you will see some familiar hollywood faces, such as Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, and Rita Hayworth to name a few.

The scenes depicted in the Cosmic Tarot evoke the right mood, thoughts, and feelings for just about every card in the deck.   This is a deck that has quickly become a favorite of mine to work with!

Dreampower Tarot
A captivating deck which contains beautiful artwork and interesting imagery which sparks the imagination and intuition.  The high points of this intriguing card set fall within the Major Arcana and the court cards . . . very beautiful, and quite different from a traditional Tarot deck.  The Dreampower Tarot is a rich source of inspiration for both reader and seeker alike.

From the introduction of the accompanying book:  "The Dreampower tarot may be used as a tarot deck in any of the usual ways . . . but it is different from a regular tarot deck, and has some powerful and unique images.  The difference are deeper than simply suggesting new or alternative tarot images, however, as this deck begins in the inner worlds, and uses patterns and techniques of working that have never been published before." --Deck by R. J. Stewart; Illustrated by Stuart Littlejohn

Love, Tarot of
A deck designed for questions of love, especially for those of a romantic nature -- but also suitable for any type of relationships, including friends, family, or other acquaintances.  The artwork is attractive with colorful pictures that stand out on a white background setting.  Although not essential to use a particular deck for questions in love, it is a focused way to address these kinds of questions.

From the back of the book:  "Tarot of Love offers fresh insights on the issues of love, partnership, family, and friendship.  Creative, positive interpretations of the tarot show the opportunities and challenges in relationships, and solutions to problems that arise between ourselves and the people we love.  Through Tarot of Love, we can see new possibilities for a conscious, positive attitude toward life and our relationships. --Deck by Wulfing von Rohr and Gayan S. Osho Zen Tarot
A truly beautiful deck!  Each card is a vibrant and colorful delight to view!  Whether you are seeking spiritual enlightenment or inspiration and guidance for everyday issues, this deck is a gem!  It is based on the teachings of Osho and focuses on a better understanding on the here and now.  From the back of the accompanying book, it states, " The Zen attitude towards life is that of laughter, of living, of enjoying, of celebrating.  Zen is not anti-life; it is life-affirmative.  It accepts all that is."

From the back of the card/book box:  "When life seems to be full of doubt and uncertainty, we tend to look for a source of inspiration:  What will happen in the future?  What about my health, the children?  What will happen if I make this decision and not that one?  This is how the traditional Tarot is often used, to satisfy a longing to know about the past and future.  This Osho Zen Tarot focuses instead on gaining an understanding of the here and now.  It is a system based on the wisdom of Zen, a wisdom that says events in the outer world simply reflect our own thoughts and feelings, even though we ourselves might be unclear about what those thoughts and feelings are.  So it helps us to turn our attention away from outside events so we can find a new clarity of understanding about what is happening in our own innermost hearts."  --Deck by Osho and artist Ma Deva Padma

Rohrig Tarot
A beautiful set of over-sized cards that has both a modern and sexy theme.  Do note that there is considerable nudity in this deck.  The glossy card images range from interesting, to fascinating, to beautiful, to erotic.  It's a deck that has been modernized with fine details and will have its appeal for those who like something different with a new kind of touch -- and for those who are not easily offended.

From the back of the card box:  "The world-renowned artist Carl W. Rohrig has created a fascinating cosmos of magical-mystical images for these unique Tarot cards.  He succeeded in transforming ancient archetypes into symbols from our modern world.  These cards lead the viewer into a universe of inspiration and imagination, providing insight into the problems of daily life and guidance along one's individual path.  But even for those who simply appreciate the inspiring beauty of magical-mystical art, the Rohrig Tarot is their first choice."  --Deck by Carl W. Rohrig and Francesca

Romani Tarot
A very usable, powerful, and attractive deck with a gypsy theme.  The colors are bright with vivid scenes from the gypsy way of life in the 19th Century.  The cards and accompanying book teach a great deal about this way of life during that era.  It was perhaps a somewhat mysterious way of life, especially to those of us who do not have a gypsy heritage, but it was still a unique and special culture in history.

From the back of the book: "The Buckland Romani Tarot" follows the traditional form of the tarot, but incorporates the Gypsy forms and symbols that permeated the author's upbringing.  Anyone who is familiar with the cards will enjoy the refreshing new approach, and anyone new to the tarot will enjoy the ease of use and down-to-earth nature of this attractive deck.  Included are fresh, insightful interpretations tailored to these unique cards."
"In addition, this book relays fascinating historical facts about the Gypsies.  Discover how, in their wanderings, they have preserved the arcane wisdom of many lands and civilizations." --Deck by Raymond Buckland and artist, Lissanne Lake

Spiral Tarot
A deck containing many interesting images, some of which seem to be taken from the Civil War time era, and others seemingly to better fit a New Age theme.  A knowledge of Astrology will enhance the specific meanings in this deck, as the Major Arcana cards show the corresponding astrological sign and Hebrew letter for each card.

From one of the card inserts in deck pack, written by Kay Steventon, the author:  "The Spiral Tarot Deck is dedicated to my Celtic grandmother, who used to read playing cards.  When I was a child, it was she who guided me through a perilous journey.  She instilled in me the philosophy that life is like that ancient symbol, the Spiral; each phase of life has a beginning, run its course, and comes to an end before moving to the next cycle.  The ultimate aspiration is to be like the Tarot Fool, not allowing past experiences to hold us back, but embracing the new cycle with open heart and mind, each time with a little more wisdom."  --Deck by Kay Steventon
