Tarot of the Angels

This deck is especially helpful for self-guidance, advice,
and for receiving messages from the angels.

The Tarot of Angels presents angels in a variety of scenes to represent guidance from the Divine or through one's own higher self.  The angels of this deck were inspired by the Bible, and meanings were taken from the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastics in the Bible.  Many of the card scenes are familiar in comparison to the traditional Rider-Waite Tarot system, but there are some interesting differences as well.  In this deck of angels, you will find angels who are both good and evil through the various roles that they play in the cards.  This portrays the positive and the shadow sides within all of us.  The deck is designed to provide guidance, perhaps more so than for purposes of divination . . . but I must say, it works nicely for either purpose.  The intention with this deck is to help us receive messages through the angels.  The LWB states that in "ancient Greece, the term 'angel' essentially meant 'messenger." . . . . "So angels, in the Biblical sense, are messengers that the Lord sends to communicate his will, and, naturally, they are also the guides and keepers of the human beings who are faithful to the laws of Truth and Justice."

Each interpretation from the LWB (little white book) is a piece of guidance and advice -- all to help one find and enjoy a more serene  and peaceful way of living.  The LWB is 63 pages in length and is divided into five languages:  English, Italian, Spanish, French, and Dutch.  The cards themselves bear multiple languages on the face of each card, with English being listed first.  Since the author intends for the deck to be used as a guide to good living and healthy decisions, there are no divinatory spreads included in the LWB.  But you can use a variety of favorite spreads with these cards . . . or simply use them for guidance to pull a daily card or seek advice about a matter to learn how to peacefully handle things around you.

Since this deck works so nicely as a guidance and advice deck, I decided to try it out with a special concern I have going on at this time -- grown kids living with us!  LOL, yes, some of you can probably relate.  As much as we want to help our grown children to help themselves, we must also be careful not to enable them and label that as "helping" them.  So . . . because I am at my wits end with this household growing from three people to six over the past month, and I have more moments than I want to count where I have to "bite my tongue," I decided to ask for angelic guidance on how to handle this.  I used a simple one-card draw, and the Five of Swords appeared!  Well -- for one thing, that particular card is so fitting for this sense of conflict going on in the household!  The LWB's advice for the Five of Swords is:  "Remember that justice often follows winding roads.  Those who sow wind will harvest storms:  violence will fall upon them."  So what does that tell me in down-to-earth meaning?  It tells me that I am on a winding road right now, but it's not a permanent one.  These kids needs to learn lessons, and they will indeed learn them . . . and so there is no need for me to further aggravate the situation at this point by "blowing up" (as much as it has been tempting).  Obviously I know that I don't want to intensify the Five of Swords energy hovering over our heads, and for now, I can see I need to keep my cool and be patient.  Whatever needs to be said or done can be done calmly rather than irrationally or in anger.  That does make good sense . . . but of course, "easier said than done!"  LOL!  But part of the message here relates to karma as well, and we shall reap what we sow is a message I feel is being shown to be.  I have to consider that in terms of my own actions, and realize that karmic energy will also relate to the kids in the choices they make, too.

Anyway, back to the features of the deck :)  This can be a truly thought-provoking and inspirational deck for self-exploration, advice, and guidance.  But I do find that it works nicely for divination types of questions, too.  Because you can see the correlation with traditional Tarot through this deck, you can grasp deeper meanings by combining the well-advised guidance in the LWB along with your understanding of traditional Tarot concepts.  Perhaps the journey may differ a bit from tradition, but the ultimate destination will be the same place you are meant to arrive.  Through the guidance of the angels, you can literally put yourself on a more desirable path in that journey or transition that you are experiencing.

I love working with the angels and feel their presence strongly in my life, and since I also very much enjoy working with the Tarot, it makes perfect sense for me to invest in angelic Tarot cards.  I use a variety of angel decks in my practice at Angel Wisdom Readings, but having a lovely angel Tarot deck is a real treat for me, too.  For those who do not believe in angels, this deck may be hard for them to use -- unless they look upon the angels as a part of their highest selves trying to relay important messages, even if they don't wish to refer to those beings as angels.  That is certainly an important feature of this deck.

Those who believe in angels are likely to be attracted to this deck and find it to be insightful and very useful.  As I have several clients who prefer working with angel decks, but are still interested in the Tarot, this addition to my collection will be appealing for those seekers.

The cards all have a light blue surrounding border.  The number of the card is printed at the top of each card, using Roman numerals for the Major Arcana and Arabic numbers for the Minor Arcana.  The cards measure 4-3/4" x 2-1/2" and have a smooth matte finish, which makes them easy to shuffle and handle.

A nice extra with this deck set is that it includes a light blue satin bag with an angel on the front of it -- for the Deluxe set.  I think you can also purchase the deck without the bag.  This is a much nicer bag than those thin, flimsy, see-through organdy bags that are often included with decks these days.  The light blue bag that accompanies the Tarot of Angels deck is a quality bag.

The back of the cards are very pretty.  They are reversible backs with a set of angel wings and a silver cross centered between the wings.  The same light blue border from the front of the cards is also seen on the card backs, and an inner border of gold balls also decorates the backs nicely.  These golden balls remind me of a vanity mirror in a bathroom or dressing room.

I would recommend this deck to anyone who believes in angels and would like to find inspiration, insight, or answers through the angels in a Tarot setting.  This is a nice deck for those who are spiritually inclined and believe in the angels.  As of the time of this writing, I have not yet had opportunity to work with this deck a lot, but now that it's posted, I anticipate that it will become a popular deck, especially among my seekers who like to stay in touch with their angelic guides.
