Tarot Deck: Rider Waite
Report:  Six-Month Tarot-Scope Report

August 2008

The SunThe Sun
The Sun is considered to be a very lucky card.  When it comes up, this often signifies that everything is going your way -- or that it will soon if things have been in a less-than-desirable state lately.  In that case, it's an indication that a turn for the better is just around the corner.  This month, be sure to celebrate your victories, even the little ones.  This energy offers you the power, the motivation, and the initiative to fulfill your dreams.  It's a time to be aware of all the good things in your life -- the blessings of good friends, good health, and fortunate times.  Draw upon that goodness to inspire future success.  Your warmth and happiness can also be shared with others to help give them a lift and light their way as well.  Unconditional love might also be prevalent in a situation with children, friends, or family members.  If you need to forgive someone, this is the energy that helps you to do that with sincerity.

This month may bring you happiness, blessings, success . . . and fun!  The Sun is one of the most joyful and happy cards in the Tarot deck.  It represents a time for you to say "yes!" to life.  It brings a time of joy and celebration.  No matter what your age, you may be feeling young, energetic, and playful at this time.  This is a confidence-building kind of energy that also brings optimism and enthusiasm to one's world.

This is a time of trust, openness, playful energy, and exploration.  It's a time where you can reconnect with your inner child . . . and have fun!  You might find a positive change in your lifestyle, a job, a relationship, or other activities.  New beginnings and opportunities could arise -- the kind that you are delighted with and grateful for.  The tone is optimistic, exuberant, and creative.  It is also a time of generosity whether you are extending it to someone else, or others are extending it to you.

If you feel that you've been in the "dark" about something lately, the Sun indicates that you are coming into the "light" with awareness.  You will likely be successful in your endeavors . . . it's a time to let your light shine.  This is a card of awareness and illumination, and you may be more aware now of the potentials you have in a particular situation.  The appearance of the Sun is an assurance that good things are coming into your life.

The Sun calls upon you to be enthusiastic, spontaneous, honest, and genuine in your personal conduct this month.  It's a card that favors all kinds of new adventures, activities, and enterprises, as well as self-expression through creative work.  Proceed with confidence as you take action on your ideas and inspirations.  This is a time to go after the things you want.  Feel free to try something to different . . . and to draw "outside of the lines" . . . or to think "outside of the box."  Don't be afraid to "toot your own horn" and let your light shine boldly at this time.  It's a wonderful energy that is waiting for you to claim it!

September 2008

Ace of PentaclesAce of Pentacles
The Ace of Pentacles represents an abundance of the good things in life.  There may be new practical opportunities that are becoming available to you in work, education, or finances.  This welcome energy offers a great new feeling of success . . . both emotionally and externally.  You or someone in your life may be making the necessary preparations for a better job, career, or money management.  But whatever the case may be, even if a situation does not involve money or career matters, this card indicates the beginnings of a more solid and stable life.  There is improvement here, especially for situations that have recently been troublesome.  This represents a welcome new beginning.

The Ace of Pentacles represents a good foundation that is developing for you in some area of your life -- and it's happening because you've done the necessary groundwork to make it happen.  If you don't see this aspect in your life, perhaps you see it in the life of someone you know and care about.  But it is also possible, as a card of beginnings for success and prosperity, that you are paving the way right now for a safe and comfortable future.  Aces show us that something new is coming.  It's about the initial forces that set things into motion.  This card could be compared to a planted seed that will eventually begin to sprout.  Its development may seem quite minimal at the time, but the potential for growth is certainly there even if it is not yet recognized or appreciated in the very beginning.  But something new exists that wasn't there before . . . and this "seed" holds the potential for all the things it can eventually become.

Your skills at practical organization will be highlighted.  You may expect a number of enjoyable moments as you prove your ability to create solid, tangible, and practical results -- especially those that pay off with more money in the bank and a better lifestyle for you to enjoy.  You may be offered the chance to use your abilities to create something real and valuable . . . something with your own personal stamp and style in the world.  This can come in the form of finding new and efficient ways to do an old task . . . or it can be something you create for yourself, such as your own business.  You may also discover that your efforts toward more financial and professional success are truly on solid ground.  Lifestyle and health issues could also improve as a result.  A door is opening that can lift you closer to your dreams.

All in all . . . looks like this month could be a profitable and successful one.  Enjoy this time of feeling secure and knowing that you are moving in the direction toward the stability you want and need.  It's a gift of prosperity . . . and certainly we know and appreciate how prosperity and wealth come in material forms . . . but the investment you make in yourself, in the people you love, and in the things you value is the most important "money" you'll ever spend.  As you gain a sense of the larger meaning of your life, everything will look new and fresh.  Take the opportunities that come your way . . . and go with it!

October 2008

TemperanceTemperance
Temperance denotes being in the right place at the right time and making positive use of your skill and talent.  It also denotes seeing possibilities, answers, and combinations that others might easily overlook.  You may also be integrating two or more parts of your life or yourself together in ways that create a more effective expression of who you are.  Thus, you have some very positive energy that will be available to you through the month . . . and how you use that energy will make all the difference.

Temperance appears when patience is needed.  You might not be in a position to make things happen right now.  You may have to be patient and wait for the right time to act.  Don't try to rush things to a conclusion before they are ready.  There may be a need to consider all sides of a situation.  In conflict situations, Temperance suggests that compromise and cooperation are vital.  Look for any opportunity to bring opposing parties together.  Patience and timing are important in juggling and/or resolving the elements of a situation.  Although Temperance calls on you to learn patience and develop an understanding and respect for other points of view, you are still entitled to your own points of view . . . but it never hurts to listen to other ideas and let everyone have a say.

If there has been conflict with another, Temperance suggests that you and this person (or group of people) may be able to establish a truce.  There is cooperation or truce between adversaries.  Old wounds heal with the passage of time.  You may be learning to temper justice with compassion, success with failure, and joy with sorrow.  There is a successful blending of opposites with Temperance energy.  You are learning to compromise and be more tolerant of opinions that differ from your own.  This doesn't mean that you have to surrender yourself to someone else's agenda, but you find a compromise that works for yourself and another.

Temperance also reminds us that "too much" is as bad as "too little."  Keep things in balance as you slowly and steadily change the composition of your energy from the old to the new.  The energy here is one that is helpful in transforming negative situations into positive ones.  Your best success at this time may come through your ability to maintain control over volatile conditions and to utilize ideas in order to bring forth the kind of result you want.  Self-discipline is also a necessary element in helping you to create what you want and to have a focused and balanced approach in your efforts.  Moderation is necessary in all things at this time.

Temperance also tells us that we always have a guardian angel with us wherever we go and wherever we are.  Additionally, this card is a reminder that there is a season for all things under Heaven.  In other words, when there is something we desire, there is a right time and place for that to come about in our lives.  Sometimes we just need to practice the art of patience as well as faith.

DeathDeath
First, let me stress that this card does *not* mean physical death.  I can't stress that enough, in fact!  This is one of the cards most feared and misunderstood by those who are not very familiar with the Tarot cards, or by people who have been misguided from scamming readers or movies that give the wrong impression for what this card truly means.  The basic meaning of the "Death" card is "significant change or transformation."  It can represent the end of an old way of life to make way for a new way of life.  A door may be closing, but another opens up for you to explore.

A major change may be inevitable with the appearance of this card.  It's a time for releasing old and outworn habits, and letting go of the past so that you are able to move forward.  The Death card can represent the end of an attitude, a project, a condition, a relationship, a problem, habits, or a certain way of life.  This is the process of inevitable change, where old conditions must be released to make way for new beginnings and possibilities.  It shows an important transformation, usually for the better.  Change can feel painful at first, but it's necessary.  In fact, it's required . . . and if you don't willingly try to accept these changes and come to terms with them, something could very well come about that is out of your control that "forces" you to change.

If you see some major changes that are desperately needed in your life . . . or changes that are coming about that you would prefer not to deal with, but just seem to be happening anyway . . . the best way to respond is by adapting.  Perhaps you have little or no control over upcoming transitions in your life, but you can change how you react to those that occur.  Letting go is not easy, especially when we are called upon to make a major shift in life.  Have faith that this change will benefit you more than clinging to the old ways would.  We often see need for change in our lives, but sometimes that transformation seems like it would just turn our lives upside down . . . and indeed it may do just that!  But we forget that once we get past the hardships or struggles brought about by a major transition . . . there is a better tomorrow on the other side!  Hanging on to the past, or clinging to the easy and familiar ways of dealing with things that really aren't right for us . . . means that we will lose out on new opportunities coming into our lives.

A major change may be taking place in your life.  And if so . . . this is a time of endings and new beginnings.  Remember that although one door closes, another door of possibility and opportunity is waiting for you to step in and begin something new. The gift that the Death card brings us is that of the ability to embrace change and not fear it.

I leave you with a question to ponder this month: "What needs to be released from your life?"

December 2008

Eight of WandsEight of Wands
You may feel a sense of urgency, haste, and impatience as you find yourself in the heady rush of something exciting this month.  Your dreams, visions, ideas, and ambitions are finally materializing for you.  Whatever you have been working on, the pieces are all finally starting to fall into place, and you are enjoying a real sense of movement and progress in your endeavors.  This card is sometimes labeled "Swiftness," and when it appears in a reading, it indicates that some new events are likely to unfold quickly, or you may see the conclusion of something that you have been waiting for.

You've shot your arrows of intention into the air, and they are landing exactly where you wanted them to land.  Things feel A-okay under Eight of Wands energy, and all systems are go.  If you've recently been through a period of stagnation, you can appreciate this rapid forward movement even more.  Your energies are focused, you've tied up loose ends and completed projects, and are now on the brink of a new phase in life.  The end is in sight, and success is likely!

Even if this is a fairly routine time in life, it's a productive one.  Things are lined up well and progressing as they need to.  You can expect to make significant progress on what you're trying to accomplish at this time.  You may enjoy one spectacular success or you might just be covering a lot of ground.  It's a better sense of progress by far than what you've had in some of your experiences recently.  If you have projects that you've started but not finished yet, now is the time to rediscover your motivation and complete some of those unfinished projects.  This is a good time to get things moving again.

This could be shaping up to be a very productive month for you -- perhaps one of the best you've had in a long time.  The Eight of Wands brings action, speed, and accomplishment to your endeavors.  Frustrations and obstacles that may have plagued you in the past are not likely to be a problem for you now.  This can soothe your impatience in wanting to finally "arrive" instead of just "being on the way."

A message or a letter may arrive, requiring a quick response from you or necessitating a journey, trip, or travel of some kind.  This energy can bring long distance messages that contain good luck, good fortune, and the potential for happiness.  A synchronistic event may come into play that will also bring many of your hopes and dreams within reach.  You may have been waiting for a certain moment to arrive in your life, and you find that the moment is finally upon you.  Enjoy it!

January 2008

Six of WandsSix of Wands
This is a time in which you may be proving yourself to be superior, well-qualified, and able to meet and beat the competition before you.  Just like anything, this is a process that you get better at with practice.  As you succeed in one area with ease, you then start taking on harder challenges.  Your experience teaches you that solid success is not something you just get lucky with . . . you create that success.  It's not just a matter of good luck.  It's a matter of hard work, effort, and determination that shapes your vision into a reality.

You may soon reach an important personal milestone in your efforts where victory, success, triumph, and satisfaction are the plentiful rewards that await you at the end of the road.  If this is the case, enjoy this reward and sense of honor, because it's what you've been working so hard for.  You've earned it!  Success, like fame, is fleeting . . . and soon it will be time to push on to the next challenge of your journey.  But in the meantime, life may offer up some very positive judgments on the work you've done recently.  Your persistence, intelligence, hard work . . . and even some good old-fashioned "elbow grease" could be ready to pay off nicely for you!  When your time comes to step into the spotlight of applause and acclaim . . . take your rightful place with a graceful bow and let your light shine!

The Six of Wands indicates the achievement of something you have been struggling to gain.  There is a sense of "winning" that is well-earned and deserved because of your effort, dedication, and persistence.  This victory has not been an easy one, as there have been obstacles to conquer and overcome, but the taste of sweet victory has finally arrived!  There is reason to be proud of your achievements.

Even little victories are important with the Six of Wands.  It doesn't have to be something "grand" -- although it could be.  Think about the last time you felt the thrill of victory.  If your life is not allowing you to easily experience that feeling, even if in just little ways, you are missing an important source of nourishment.  Think about your "wins" whether big or little.  They all count!  No matter what sort of victory that you experience under this energy, it's something you have reason to be proud of.  So think about your victories.  They come in all sizes, great and small . . . and everything in between.  But they are all worth something!

It doesn't get much sweeter than this kind of victory that you are experiencing . . . or that is soon on its way to you.  The Six of Wands lets you know that you have the strength, stamina, and the power to achieve what you've set out to do.  This is a positive "thumbs up" card, and often represents an enthusiastic "yes" for your question of concern.  You are equal to the tasks in front of you, and a victory is at hand with your continued effort and responsible choices.

Many Blessings!

Your Friend,

Velvet Angel
