Terms of Service
By
purchasing a reading, you agree that you have read and
understand these terms of service!Legally, tarot readings are intended for entertainment purposes. (I have to say that and get that one out of the way first.)
My tarot readings are intended for purposes of enlightenment and to empower you and your choices.
You are responsible for all decisions or actions taken based on a reading. The Tarot offers advice, guidance, and direction, but you are not required to use that advice. You have the gift of free will, and all choices you make should be your own.
Nothing is ever set in stone. What you do or don't do today can influence your tomorrows. A tarot reading is not an assurance of an outcome, nor is anything set in stone. Things can and do change, but your reading can show the current direction of a situation. From there, it is up to you to take the appropriate actions to either minimize a potential problem . . . or to maintain positive actions and choices for a desired outcome.
By purchasing a reading, you agree that any information and guidance provided in your reading will not be used as a substitute for medical, psychological, investment, or legal advice. You assume full responsibility for the choices you make and any actions you take.
I will not do readings for advice on the stock market or financial investments. Please seek a financial consultant for those questions.
I will not offer any medical diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment for health questions in a reading. If you have health issues, please see a qualified healthcare professional for those concerns.
As I am not an attorney, I cannot offer legal remedies through a reading. Please consult an attorney if you have legal questions to be addressed.
I will not use the Tarot to predict death in any way. While I will gladly address issues of coping after the loss of a loved one, I will not ask the Tarot when, if, or how someone may die. These are things I personally feel that we are not meant to know or ask.
My tarot reading services do not take the place of psychological counseling, therapy, or mental health services. If you are currently under the care of any therapist, you agree not to discontinue those counseling or therapy services because of a reading.
I will not do readings with the purpose of aiding or abetting in illegal activities.
I will not do readings to help you harm another person or seek revenge.
A reading does not take away your gift of free will and choice, nor does it take away your responsibility for the actions and choices you make.
Neither myself nor the Tarot will make your choices for you.
My responsibility to you, as a professional tarot reader, is to offer answers, guidance, and direction for your concerns. While the cards may make certain suggestions or advice, the choices ultimately belong to you. The Tarot's purpose is not to make a choice for you, but to empower you to confidently make decisions of your own.
The Tarot cannot solve or fix your problems for you, but it can guide you to make decisions from a more enlightened and empowered position so that you can do the work necessary to solve a problem.
I reserve the right to refuse to read for anyone whom I feel is not respectful, does not have an open mind, is dishonest, is emotionally unstable, or who may gain more benefit from another professional service such as counseling, medical, financial, or legal advice. In such cases, full payment will be refunded!
I also reserve the right to stop being a reader for any client who refuses to take information designed to empower them, refuses to look at the positives of a reading, and instead chooses to focus only on the fact that the love of their life isn't yet coming or they aren't getting exactly what they want . . . so they complain and whine to me constantly.
I will "fire" such a client if I don't see them likely to change their chronically negative outlook. I totally get it that people will have some tough times and negative days in their lives. I understand that and can work with a client who is feeling that way. But for those who repeatedly let all positives go in one ear and out the other, and manage to trap the negative stuff to hold to tightly . . . I cannot help them see the light because they are the ones who choose not to see it or acknowledge it.
If someone wants a reader who will always promise them roses without thorns and lots of wonderful things that aren't really shown in the cards, then there are plenty of readers out there who will lie just to make a customer happy. I'm not one of them. I'll only talk about wonderful things when I actually see it in the cards.
I don't roll the dishonest way, because it's not fair to the seeker to be given false hope with no substance. It's a lot harder to work with lies, illusion, and delusion, than it is to work with the truth! It's far more empowering to work with the truth versus just the things we want to see in a situation.
Firing a client has happened only a couple of times in over a decade of doing readings, but for people who always choose to be an eternal pessimist, I cannot offer much help for them. You're only unlucky if you always view yourself to be that way. Choose to be LUCKY instead!
Refund Policy
There are no refunds offered for written
tarot readings once I have started on them or have them
delivered to you. This is because I invest a great
deal of time, care, attention, and focused energy on each
reading. I've never been asked for a refund in all the
years I've been doing email tarot readings!Exceptions: I
will, of course, provide a full refund if I am unable to
perform the reading service. I will also offer a
refund if I am unable to deliver the reading at the
promised time and you prefer not to reschedule.
For written readings, you can view samples of my reading work (links on the reading order page) before buying a reading and can learn whether you enjoy my written reading style and if you resonate with me, as your reader.
If your reading is scheduled several days ahead from the day you order, and if I have not yet started your reading or did any work on it, you may request a refund. Email me to make sure I have not started your reading. Please be aware that there is a $1.00 processing fee for a refund request in this case. This is because PayPal takes money out of MY pocket as a fee for issuing refunds in addition to the refund itself.

However, if during a phone consultation -- in the first 10 minutes -- you feel that I'm not the right reader for you, you have the right to end the call and have a full refund. (This will apply once I open a private business phone line for readings. That will be in the works for the future.)
Please realize the difference between not liking a reading itself or not liking what you are hearing. There is a big difference! I cannot control your destiny, nor can the Tarot. But YOU can -- through the choices you make in the present!!
Check Your Junk and Spam Email Folders!
In a few cases, I send a
reading out via email, and the customer emails me and asks
why they didn't get it. In every single case, it has
been a matter of the customer not checking his or her spam
and/or junk email folders. So I usually have to send
the same email to that person from a few different email
accounts in hopes that one of the email addresses will go
directly to their Inbox to ask them to check spam and junk
folders. Please save yourself some frustration! If you think you didn't get your reading as promised, I can pretty much guarantee you that it's sitting there in your spam or junk email folder! And in those cases, it can also be deleted by accident as well.
The same applies for any email correspondence between us prior to a reading. Spam and junk software can get over-zealous in their attempts to keep an Inbox clean of junk and spam.
No Bartering or Readings Exchanged
I do not barter in exchange for
reading services. Additionally, I do not "trade" readings with other
readers. If I need a reading, I will
purchase one from a fellow tarot reader of my choice.
Yes, sometimes we, as tarot readers, like to have someone
else read our cards from time to time. And when I'm in
the mood for a read from someone else, I prefer to just pay
my chosen reader. Here is why I do not barter or trade reading services: I already have tons of jewelry, tons of lovely gifts, and sweet perfumes -- among many other things -- from when I used to allow bartering. There came a point where I had to focus on my business needs and goals. And while the jewelry may be pretty, special luxury soaps are wonderful, and perfume is delightful to the senses . . . none of those nice things will pay my bills.
Another reason I discontinued allowing for reading trades is because I got burned on some of those trades -- meaning I did a nice reading presentation for someone, but a few forgot to return the favor as agreed upon or waited until it was really too late to be of use to me to even want the traded reading anymore.
So at Tarot Wisdom Readings, I keep it very simple . . . the agreed upon fee clearly marked for each reading option will be exchanged for the reading from me that you've selected.
Chargebacks or Fraudulent & Unauthorized Credit Card
Claims
It's important for you to
know how I handle chargebacks, as well as fraudulent and
unauthorized credit card claims. From time to time, a
customer will end up having their card lost or stolen.
In such a case, the credit card company will investigate all
the charges made over the past six months. They
usually attach fraud to a charge during the investigation
process even if it was indeed authorized by the credit card
holder.Obviously, these can be sticky situations, and very frustrating for me as a business person -- because while PayPal conducts the investigation, they also withdraw the funds in question directly out of my account until the investigation is completed. It's a case where the seller becomes "guilty until proven innocent." I don't agree that's a fair way to handle it, but I think other payment vendors handle it pretty much in the same way.
If you run into a situation where your card is lost or stolen, and you report it to your card company and/or to PayPal, then PLEASE - if you know you've purchased a reading from me within the past 180 days, please let your card company AND PayPal know that those charges were indeed authorized.
If you fail to do so, I will be put in a position where I have no choice but to submit your personal reading information and details to PayPal as my proof of rendering the service to you, along with our email correspondence and tracking emails that show I sent the reading(s) to you as promised via email. Readings are intended to be confidential, but if money is being jerked out of my account balance months later because of fraud investigations when I have certainly had no part in any of the fraudulent activity on your card, I have to protect my interests, too.
If for some reason, the charges are never cleared, and my money is kept and not returned to me, you will be billed for the full amount of your reading orders plus any applicable processing fees that PayPal charges me per transaction -- which can be $30 to $35 per transaction! I'll send you a bill via the PayPal service, but also through direct snail mail -- and you can choose which one to pay from.
If it is not paid within 30 days, I will then submit it to collections. And this can put a bad mark on your credit history, so please make sure to take care of things if you get caught up in an unfortunate loss or theft of your credit card.
Additionally, if such an incident occurs, I can no longer accept credit cards from those customers. Money Orders would be the only other alternative to buy readings in the future from me if there have been problems with your card that unfairly impacted my business account.
In all the years I have done readings, I have NEVER failed to deliver anyone's readings as promised. I have maintained a flawless record with PayPal, and I intend to keep it that way.
Payment is to be made before service is rendered
Before I can begin your
reading for you, whether a written reading or a phone
reading, payment must first be made. The reason is
pretty simple for this rule, and that reason is that there
are too many readers trying to be nice and establish
credibility by offering to do the reading first and then let
the client pay. Many times, the reader never gets paid
after she or he invested a lot of time and energy into a
reading.Your payment will remain in my PayPal account until the reading is delivered to you. Only after the reading has been delivered to you will I actually transfer those funds to my own banking account. I maintain all payments in the PayPal platform until all services have been delivered. That way, if some problem did arise, I could easily refund your payment instantly through a direct refund via PayPal.
I handle my payments and business activities responsibly and ethically, and I appreciate my clients who handle their payments responsibly as well.
No Split Payments for Larger Reading Services
While I have been asked
on a few occasions if I could offer a service where one
could make two or three payments on a larger reading order
(such as the Premium Plus Tarot Reading), this falls back to
my policy of payment that must first be received before a
service is rendered.Because I spend a lot of time and energy in a reading, I need to ensure that I am paid for that. This is my work. It is my job. And this is my business life. This is what pays my bills, puts food on the table, and provides the support for my family.
It's the same situation you would be in if your employer said he was a little short and wondered if he could just give you half your paycheck this week and make the other half up on the next pay day. You probably wouldn't be thrilled about that idea -- and rightfully so! You depend on the money you earn in the same way that I do. We all have families, bills, and expenses that must be met.
This is why I also offer smaller reading options -- to help those on a tight budget still be able to afford a reading, even if it's not one of the more comprehensive offerings that are available.
Your time is valuable, and so is mine :)
